Who Needs It?

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

Your vehicle has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or Gross Combination Weight Rating (GCWR) of 26,001+ pounds
You’re transporting at least 16 passengers
You’re transporting hazardous materials and require placarding

Federal Aviation Administration

You are a certificated air carrier or operator who is authorized to conduct operations by the DOT.
You perform safety-sensitive functions. This includes flight attendants, crew members and aviation screeners.

Federal Railroad Administration

You are a safety-sensitive employee who meets the FRA’s hours of service laws. This includes all engine service, dispatching and signal employees.

Federal Transit Administration

You operate, maintain or otherwise control a public transit vehicle.
